Assessment 1: myFuture Work Self
Overview
This guide breaks down Assessment 1 into easy-to-follow steps.
You must complete all three parts to receive a Satisfactory (SY) grade.
Rationale and context
Increasingly when you apply for a job the prospective employer requires you to submit a video introducing yourself. This assessment is designed to provide you with an opportunity to practice this skill. On the basis that education should be transformative, the end of the Integrated First Year (IFY) is also a good opportunity for you to reflect on what you have learnt about yourself, your goals, and aspirations for the future.
This reflective process is used again in COMM3999 to support professional development.

An ePortfolio is a tool that allows you to ‘step back’ from the focus on individual assignments and courses to understand your learning journey throughout your degree - bringing together the content, skills and experiences that constitute your time as a university student.
myPortfolio is a useful artefact to showcase your skills and abilities to future employers. Developing a process to document and reflect on your learning is an important aspect of mastering and orienting our professional practice.
